Michael Caggiano - As a hemophiliac, I feel the urge to help other families and build a community that many hemophiliacs crave. Many of them, of all ages, often ask, "Can I do this?" or "Will I have a bleed if I do this?" The purpose surrounding HemoTalk is to answer those questions and fulfill those needs through community support, as well as providing up-to-date and simple news. It also encourages hemophiliacs to learn more about their bleeding disorder and make them aware of what is possible. Many underprivileged families also do not have any support and have access to very little medication. HemoTalk wants to spread awareness for these families and provide them the support and attention they deserve. As someone who has Hemophilia A, I know that my mother would have loved this type of community when I was born.
