The Hemophilia Foundation of Southern California is hosting a Unite for Bleeding Disorder Hemophilia event to raise funds for supporting their mission of improving the quality of life and of building community for those with inherited bleeding disorders in Southern California. Participants can make a team and everyone can donate to the walk in support of "advocacy and access to care; educational and support programs; emergency financial assistance; Camp Blood Brothers & Sisters; scholarships; research.
Matthew Gallo, a participant of the walk, has started a team called "This is the Way," which "is committed to raising money to support those affected in our community and raising awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure." Matthew Gallo is "super excited" to have created this team and walk in the fund raiser. He recently put out a Facebook post saying, "Hemophilia affected me and my entire family since the day I was born and I’m so excited to be leading my first team this Saturday. Now it’s my turn to give back and help my community!" You can check out the team here.
